During the pandemic, we seized an opportunity to not only attract users to our platform but also increase their time spent on the app. With TikTok's popularity skyrocketing, we faced the challenge of diverting some of their traffic to Shopee. To tackle this, we launched Shopee Livestream, a new feature designed to give our sellers a fresh avenue for boosting sales during the pandemic. We had just one month to bring this feature to life, which involved hiring and structuring a new team, creating its branding, and building an effective go-to-market strategy. Our strategy centered on capturing attention with the right balance of incentives and entertainment. We partnered with relevant brands to launch 12-hour non-stop streams featuring exclusive promotions. To enhance the entertainment beyond deals, we partnered with a local broadcasting network to stream their KPOP star performances in-app. The launch attracted over 80k stream viewers, resulting in the highest traffic Shopee Livestream had experienced thus far. Today, Shopee Livestream is one of the most utilized product features by brands on our platform.
